As this is my first working experience at a real estate company. Firstly, I had no idea what was going on and how these procedures work etc. My boss gave me an introduction about this company and the background of Real Estate and still I had no idea how it works and I had a lot of questions to ask but I did not know what to ask. Slowly I managed to get things done and started to understand the concepts of real estate.
I learnt a lot of things and new ways and techniques. I also had a fear of talking to clients and the owners of the properties. I knew how to talk but I did not know how to begin and how to take it with the flow to keep the conversation going. Moving on, my boss gave me a structure to follow how to speak to a client or the owner of the property with some general questions to keep the conversation going. Days passed, I started calling the clients and the owners and knew how to respond to them and build a good relationship with them. It’s been a month and I have not yet clicked a deal. It was my second month at work. I managed to click a deal at Havelock city which was a good and easy deal where i showed the client the place and he managed to take it then and there. It was an easy deal where I did not have to show the client any other options. In a few days I tried to click another deal which was not that easy than the previous one, but managed to get him one at Colombo 05. This client had already found a place but he was not happy with it and then the next day he called me and said that he has found another place and he is not happy with that. So he asked me to try talking to the owner if she can get that place for this client. So I finally spoke to the owner saying that this client is really interested with your property and then we set up a meeting with the client and the owner where they could sort everything out. Afterwards, the client negotiated the price but still the owner was not happy with it. Finally, the owner said if he could come with this amount of rent then she does not have to confirm or speak to her siblings she can give it quickly, then the client also managed to pay that amount of rent. That is how I got my second deal done. Finally, I had a great experience working with these clients and I managed to understand how things are done in this company. It’s a great working experience here since it is my first time working in a company. Furthermore, I hope to crack as many deals as possible and to keep going to have a better future.
